Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Corporate Tax Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our tax advisory group, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice to clients on corporate tax matters.

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for preparing tax research memos and reports, assisting with local state tax return preparation, and attending meetings with the local Tax Authority on client-related tax matters.

You will also establish and maintain valued internal and external relationships to ensure high-quality services are delivered to clients.

Additionally, you will oversee client engagements, monitor progress and deliverables, put in place standardized processes, anticipate and identify risks, escalate issues as appropriate, and drive performance-improvement solutions.

This includes supporting the team in marketing and business development initiatives to grow our BTA client base in the region and building a positive learning culture by coaching and counseling junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing tax research memos and tax advisory reports
  • Assisting with local state tax return preparation
  • Attending meetings with the local Tax Authority on client-related tax matters
  • Establishing and maintaining valued internal and external relationships
  • Oversseeing client engagements and delivering high-quality services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials in accounting, business, finance, law, taxation, or any related field
  2. Preferably an MBA, Masters, LLM, or another related advanced degree and/or professional qualification
  3. A strong knowledge and minimum 2 years of experience in Corporate Tax, ideally within a large professional services company or similar environment
