We are seeking a Solar Design Engineer to perform engineering and project support tasks for commercial and utility scale solar / photovoltaic systems. The work will be done for clients outside of Pakistan, primarily in the United States.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with solar design software such as AutoCAD, Helios 3D, and PVsyst. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is also required.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Create conceptual design layouts and electrical diagrams for commercial scale solar arrays using AutoCAD, Helios 3D and PVsyst.
  • Create energy models for commercial & Utility scale solar arrays utilizing PVSYST and Helioscope.
  • Develop electrical single/three-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for solar electric systems using computer-aided design (with preference for AutoCAD experience).
  • Provide technical support to client development, engineering, procurement, construction, and O&M departments throughout the entire life cycle of a project including development, permitting, construction and asset management phases.
  • Collaborate with various engineering disciplines including civil, geotechnical, structural, and electrical.
  • Support utility interconnection and permitting application processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent certification and experience.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in Solar Design.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, and Excel software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
About the Position

This position requires overlap with US Hours ~5:00pm – 2:00am Pakistan Time, Monday -Friday.
