Specialist/Expert OSS Operations & Support Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist/Expert OSS Operations & Support professional to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing operations, support, and planning of various platforms deployed on OSS, EMS, and underlying layers.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated capability of working in NOC environments, with in-depth experience of working on diverse OSS and Service Desk Platforms in a Telco environment.

This role reports directly to the Manager OSS & Network Performance and involves overseeing CAPEX and OPEX planning and execution of department budgets. The Specialist/Expert OSS Operations & Support is also responsible for providing techno-functional support for smooth running of Service Desk Platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle day-to-day operations of OSS, EMS, Service Desk, and other related platforms
  • Develop strategies to oversee smooth operations and transformation of Service Desk Platforms in use across the organization
  • Provide technical support for Service Desk Platforms
  • Tactical Planning & Execution to ensure risk mitigation and sustainability of NOC Platforms
  • Collaborate with Supplier/Partner Teams to ensure smooth operations of NOC Platforms
  • Liaise with Sourcing/Procurement teams to ensure timely delivery enabling NOC to meet strategic and transformational objectives
  • Explore emerging technologies and platforms for potential adoption enabling cutting-edge deployments and modernization for NOC

Requirements:

  • BE (Electronics, Electrical, Telecoms, Comp Science), 4-7 years of relevant experience for Expert and 1-3 or fresh for Specialist Role
  • Demonstrated capability of working in NOC Environment
  • In-depth experience of working on diverse OSS and Service Desk Platforms in a Telco environment
  • Good insight into emerging technologies and prevailing industry norms/standards
  • Experience of deployment of OSS, Network, and Service Desk Platforms through the delivery lifecycle from initial design to full operational handover
  • Sound knowledge of all relevant technologies and ample knowledge of MS-Office
  • Good understanding of IP Networks and related technologies
  • Ability to work under pressure
