Global Textile Procurement Leader

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a highly experienced Global Textile Procurement Leader to develop and implement strategic Asian sourcing initiatives in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. This role will focus on reducing costs and lead times while improving product quality and consistency.

The successful candidate will have profound knowledge of textile and apparel manufacturers throughout Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and be an aggressive negotiator with extensive experience in product costing based on current raw material prices used in the manufacture of needed products.

  • Main Objectives:
  • Reduce costs and lead times through strategic Asian sourcing initiatives.
  • Improve product quality and consistency by developing and implementing effective supply chain management strategies.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with external suppliers to ensure quality and service requirements are met.
  • Establish a representative office in Karachi to coordinate all sourcing activities.
  • Lead the implementation of Asian sourcing activities that meet company strategic objectives.
  • Analyze industry trends to assess short and long-term strategic sourcing goals and objectives.
  • Develop and communicate pricing forecasts for use in business planning.
  • Track key performance metrics, including on-time delivery, quality assurance rating, and factory capacities.
Fully Qualified Candidates:
  • Hold 7+ years of textile industry experience, with senior management sourcing experience and in-depth knowledge of internal purchasing procedures and processes.
  • Demonstrate a track record of improving supplier performance and reducing cost.
  • Utilize appropriate methods and interpersonal styles to build a cohesive team.
  • Apply interpersonal styles and communication methods to influence and build effective relationships with business partners.
  • Expect strong procurement experience or the ability to quickly acquire complex strategic procurement skills.
  • Some travel required.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in management, engineering, textiles, or related field experience.
