School Principal Job DescriptionThe School Principal plays a pivotal role in promoting academic excellence and fostering a culture of learning within the school community.
Key Responsibilities- Promote high standards of evidence-based learning and teaching by monitoring school progress across key performance indicators, focusing on improvement.
- Recruit, develop, empower, support, encourage, and retain top teachers in the school.
- Foster a culture of mutual and continuous learning, respect, collaboration, and coordination where every member of the school community is valued, and every child is motivated to learn and grow.
- Recruit quality teachers through effective implementation of the Teacher Selection process.
- Develop and implement a school improvement plan based on need analysis.
- Monitor classroom quality through lesson planners and observations.
- Enhance teacher quality through demo sessions and regular feedback.
- Monitor student performance by reviewing student copies and test papers.
- Organize, manage, and monitor co-curricular activities, timetables, assemblies, displays, libraries, and laboratories.
- Attend training sessions and conduct on-the-job training for faculty.
- Conduct term tests and examinations in a transparent and timely manner.
- Bolster team spirit and motivate teachers to enhance retention.
- Develop strong relationships with the community to promote education for all children.
- Maintain required student enrollment through effective enrolment strategies.
- Effectively outreach to teachers and maintain a CV bank.
- Coordinate staff hiring, retaining, performance management, and HR-related matters with Area and Regional teams.
- Maintain school discipline and encourage positive character building among students and staff.
- Manage staff leaves and attendance to minimize empty classroom days.
- Supervise the admin assistant in accounts and other matters.
- Maintain accurate school accounts and ensure timely updates.
- Ensure maintenance of school buildings and premises.
- Coordinate utility services in a timely manner.
- Understand organizational policies and implement school activities accordingly.
- Submit reports and documents in a timely fashion.
