Job Title:

Creative Storyteller

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative professional to join our team as a Creative Storyteller. This role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about bringing stories to life through captivating visual designs.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative design concepts, ideas, and detailed specifications for visual designs, based on existing styles and prototypes. They will also adapt to various illustration styles, possessing a keen eye for detail and the ability to reproduce images and illustrations accurately.

This role requires effective communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to articulate trade-offs to secure buy-in from stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate should be able to provide guidance, mentorship, and training to less-experienced writers and teams.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop innovative design concepts, ideas, and detailed specifications for visual designs, based on existing styles and prototypes.
  2. Adapt to various illustration styles, possessing a keen eye for detail and the ability to reproduce images and illustrations accurately.
  3. Explore new techniques, styles, and technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
  4. Create two-dimensional and three-dimensional images, as well as animated sequences.
  5. Effectively communicate ideas, adapt to feedback, and articulate trade-offs to secure buy-in from stakeholders.
  6. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to less-experienced writers and teams.
  7. Initiate, coordinate, and lead cross-functional illustration projects, negotiating project priorities, deliverables, and timelines.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum 2-year degree in fine arts or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in traditional illustration skills, including perspective, life drawing, design specifications, storyboards, scenarios, color theory, and basic layout design.
  3. Strong drawing skills, understanding of character development, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
