Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AI Engineer to lead our dynamic technology team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for mentoring a team of Junior AI Engineers while driving the research, development, and deployment of innovative AI solutions across our global money transfer platform.

You will leverage your deep expertise in Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning (DL) to tackle complex challenges, optimize our processes, and create new value for our customers.

This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for applying AI to real-world problems in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of Junior AI Engineers, fostering their technical growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Assign tasks, set clear objectives, and conduct performance reviews for team members.
  • Promote a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities for the team.
AI Strategy and Execution:
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company's AI strategy, aligning it with business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for leveraging AI to improve various aspects of the business, including fraud detection, customer support, user experience personalization, operational efficiency, and new product features.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of AI projects, from ideation and research to development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Technical Expertise and Development:
  • Apply advanced knowledge in Computer Vision, NLP, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning to develop and implement AI models and solutions.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and robust AI/ML pipelines.
  • Utilize tools and frameworks such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face extensively for model development and experimentation.
  • Conduct thorough experimentation and evaluation of different AI/ML techniques to identify the most effective solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI research and technologies, particularly in areas like Agentic AI.
Cloud Infrastructure and Deployment:
  • Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to build, deploy, and manage AI/ML models and infrastructure.
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of AI solutions deployed in the cloud.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization and manage associated costs.
Research and Innovation:
  • Conduct research and explore new AI techniques and methodologies relevant to the company's business needs, with a focus on emerging areas like Agentic AI.
  • Prototype and evaluate novel AI solutions to address emerging challenges and opportunities.
  • Contribute to the company's intellectual property through patents and publications where applicable.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI/ML solutions.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of engineers.
  • Deep understanding and practical experience in Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning (DL).
  • Strong proficiency in Python and relevant AI/ML libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face Transformers.
  • Solid experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services.
  • Experience with data engineering pipelines and tools for data preparation and feature engineering.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
