Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build advanced Android applications that meet the highest standards of performance, security, and user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and implement new features, ensuring seamless integration and optimal results.
  • Develop and unit-test robust code, thoroughly evaluating edge cases, usability, and overall reliability.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, improving application performance and ensuring a smooth user experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, implementing new tools and methodologies to maximize development efficiency and productivity.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the Android SDK, including effective management of diverse screen sizes and resolutions.
  • Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON, ensuring efficient data exchange and retrieval.
  • Familiarity with third-party libraries and APIs, leveraging their capabilities to enhance application functionality.
  • A deep understanding of the mobile landscape, including architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of the full mobile development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment.
  • Proficiency in MVC, MVVM, Architecture components, and memory management, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Expertise in ROOM models and DAOs, efficiently managing data access and storage.
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning, guaranteeing a seamless user experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of ROOM and SQLite, proficient in performing CRUD operations, JOINs, and RDBMS tasks.
  • Excellent grasp of OOP concepts and design patterns, enabling effective problem-solving and innovation.
  • Familiarity with additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers, enhancing application capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with Firebase real-time database, remote config, cloud message APIs, and push notifications, expanding application reach and engagement.
  • Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive user experience.
  • Proficient in code versioning tools, facilitating collaboration and efficient tracking.
  • Experience with Google Maps & Navigation APIs, integrating location-based services and enhancing navigation.
  • Skilled in Gradle and Android Studio, leveraging their capabilities for efficient development and deployment.
Requirements
  • Proven 2 to 5 years of experience in standalone mobile app development, showcasing expertise and accomplishment.
  • 5 to 10 apps live on the Play Store, demonstrating a track record of successful development and deployment.
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields, providing a solid foundation in programming principles and software development.
