Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Designer with expertise in civil engineering to deliver high-quality structural designs and solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing detailed project specifications, performing design reviews, and applying international standards to ensure compliance with industry codes and regulations.

This role requires expertise in both steel and concrete structures, as well as proficiency with advanced design software and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Design and Delivery: Prepare comprehensive project specifications, design reports, and documentation that meet international standards and requirements.
  2. Design Code Application: Apply knowledge of international steel and concrete design codes (BS and ASTM) for structural design, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  3. Analysis and Design: Utilize both Load Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) and Allowable Stress Design (ASD) methodologies effectively in structural analysis and design.
  4. Structural Element Design: Design a variety of structural elements, including structural steel components such as pipe racks, shelters, and platforms, as well as concrete structures like substation buildings and pits.
  5. Foundation and Connection Design: Conduct structural analysis and design for equipment foundations, base plates, and associated connections, ensuring strength and stability.
  6. Design Review and Verification: Perform detailed design reviews and verifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  2. Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in detailed engineering within the industry, with a focus on structural design and analysis.
  3. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel), AutoCAD, Smart Plant Review, and MicroStation, with ability to learn new software quickly.
  4. Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in design and review, with ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
