About the Role

We are seeking a talented Testing & Commissioning Engineer to work on a multi-year contract basis.

  1. Developing and executing test plans to ensure automation systems' reliability and functionality.
  2. Troubleshooting and resolving automation issues, optimizing system performance, and minimizing downtime.
  3. Maintaining automation systems through regular maintenance activities, including upgrades, backups, and configuration adjustments.
  4. Providing training and support to operations teams on proper use and maintenance of automation systems.
  5. Detailed documentation of all processes, configurations, and changes related to automation systems.
  6. Preparing progress and root cause analysis reports.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in automation as a PLC/RTU Programmer and commissioning engineer, preferably in Water and Wastewater projects, Oil & Gas, and Infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in working with various PLC platforms and RTUs, such as Schneider M580, Rockwell Control & Compact Logix, Siemens S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500, PCS-7, WinCC SCADA, WinCC OA SCADA, and TBOX RTU.
  • Familiarity with open communication protocols used in automation like Modbus Serial, Modbus RTU, BACnet MSTP, OPC, MQTT, DNP3, etc.
  • Understanding of control panel wiring and instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings related to control systems, i.e., P&IDs, layouts, Control Panel Drawings, and troubleshoot wiring issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • UPDA holder.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Possession of an international driving license is preferred.
