Donor Phlebotomy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Blood Collection Specialist to join our team at Aga Khan University Hospital. As a key member of our Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, you will be responsible for collecting blood from donors and ensuring that all necessary precautions are taken to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.

Your primary responsibilities will include verifying patient identification, performing vein puncture procedures, and preparing blood for analysis. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of donor consent forms and ensuring that all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.

• Intermediate or graduate degree preferred.
• 1-2 years experience in venipuncture on adults and pediatric patients.
• Knowledge of various collection containers and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under stress and require completing knowledge-based certification and hands-on competency annually.
