**Critical Care Practitioner**
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions in a timely manner.
The Critical Care Practitioner plays a vital role in providing emergency care services. Primary responsibilities include:
- Evaluating and diagnosing patients with urgent medical conditions.
- Performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, and interpreting results.
- Prioritizing patient care based on the severity of conditions (triage).
- Providing immediate medical interventions for trauma, cardiac arrests, strokes, respiratory distress, and other critical conditions.
- Emergency procedures such as intubation, wound suturing, fracture stabilization, and resuscitation are carried out.
- Administering medications, IV fluids, and life-saving treatments as necessary.
- Collaborating with ER nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care.
- Consulting with specialists and arranging patient transfers to relevant departments as required.
- Communication with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records, including patient history, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
- Compliance with hospital policies, medical protocols, and ethical standards.
- Implementation of infection control and emergency response protocols.
- Response to mass casualties, natural disasters, or public health emergencies.
- Managing multiple patients simultaneously while maintaining high-quality care.
- Making rapid, life-saving decisions under pressure.
