Barista Position

Job Title: Beverage Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and friendly professional to fill the role of Beverage Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, as well as maintaining high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a range of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages and other specialty drinks
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring a positive customer experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the beverage station and dining area
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or questions in a prompt and professional manner
• Recommend specialty drinks based on customer preferences, increasing sales and enhancing the customer experience
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash register records, ensuring efficient operation of the point-of-sale system
• Follow food safety guidelines when handling food items, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent education, demonstrating a strong foundation in basic math and communication skills
• Prior experience as a barista or in the food industry, preferred but not required, as we provide comprehensive training to all new hires
• Strong knowledge of different types of coffee beans, brewing methods, and latte art, essential for creating high-quality beverages
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with customers and colleagues
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and composed under pressure
• Customer-oriented attitude, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service in every interaction
• Willingness to learn new recipes and techniques, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in the beverage industry
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, ensuring accurate calculations and minimizing errors
