Master Bricklayer

Laying bricks, stones or blocks in specific patterns using mortar is an essential skill for this role. As a skilled craftsman, you will be responsible for creating structures that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also durable and long-lasting.

• Levelling and preparing surfaces to ensure a solid base for construction
• Choosing the right type of brick or stone for each project based on factors like durability, colour and texture
• Using manual tools or machinery to cut and shape materials to exact specifications
• Constructing walls, arches and other structural elements using a variety of techniques
• Ensuring all work meets safety standards by adhering to strict protocols and guidelines

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in masonry (preferably in a lead or supervisory capacity)
• The ability to read blueprints and drawings with ease, interpreting complex designs and specifications
• Knowledge of various masonry techniques and tools, including those related to concrete, steel and wood
• Physical stamina to work long hours in all weather conditions, with minimal breaks or downtime
• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification, with relevant vocational training or certifications
