Job Overview

  • Our team is looking for a skilled Family Law Paralegal to support our legal team.

About the Role

  • As a Family Law Paralegal, you will assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • You will also support trial preparation by organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and conducting legal research.
  • Your responsibilities will include managing law office activities, drafting subpoenas, and coordinating with process servers.
  • You will perform administrative duties, such as answering phone calls and maintaining an organized case filing system.
  • Conducting client interviews to gather information about legal matters will also be part of your role.
  • Communicating with clients on a consistent basis regarding updates and changes to their case is crucial.
  • Drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence under the guidance of a lawyer is another key responsibility.
  • Preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, and conducting research on legal articles are also required skills.
  • Organizing and coordinating witnesses for trial is essential.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience as a Family Law Paralegal in the state of Texas.
  • A valid Texas Driver's License and automobile insurance are mandatory.
  • Clear, concise, and effective communication skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and email is required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in writing and grammar are required.
  • The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
  • An ABA-approved paralegal certificate program is mandatory.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.
  • High-level organizational skills and time-management skills are required.
