About the Job:

We're looking for a talented Business Proposal Development Expert who can drive our proposal writing process forward. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for researching, drafting, editing, and submitting high-quality business proposals and bids in response to RFPs across various platforms.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess excellent communication skills, a strong grasp of business writing, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of current and future markets to identify new opportunities.
  2. RFP Response and Proposal Writing: Respond to RFPs and business proposals (bids), ensuring compliance with all submission requirements.
  3. Proposal Development and Management: Develop proposal outlines and manage proposal timelines in collaboration with proposal managers.
  4. Content Creation and Editing: Write, edit, and compile proposal content, including executive summaries, resumes, and project descriptions.
  5. Quality Control and Assurance: Maintain quality using templates and consistent proposal-writing standards.
  6. Documentation and Tracking: Organize and update all related proposal documentation and track and maintain a log of submitted bids and their outcomes.
  7. Process Improvement: Continuously refine and improve proposal processes, templates, and content libraries.
  8. Submission Requirements: Ensure all submissions are error-free, well-organized, and meet formatting and deadline requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. A degree in English language & Literature is required.
  2. At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in business proposal writing or bidding is preferred.
  3. 2-5 years of experience with government proposals and/or technical proposals is beneficial.
  4. Prior experience bidding on freelance marketplaces like Upwork is highly desirable.
  5. Exceptional written communication, editing, and proofreading skills are essential.
  6. Strong research abilities and understanding of RFP sourcing and evaluation are necessary.
  7. Familiarity with freelance marketplaces and bidding strategies is required.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is needed.
  9. The ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and work independently under pressure is crucial.
  10. An analytical thinker with attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude is vital.
  11. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
