  • This position entails coordinating the purchase of various items, including stock materials, medical equipment, and laundry supplies. Additionally, the buyer will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting periodic reviews, and implementing measures to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.

  • The buyer will also be responsible for monitoring loan inventory systems, ensuring timely transactions, and communicating with end-users to resolve any issues or queries.

  • This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills are essential to meet deadlines and achieve goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process new stock item requests for assigned categories, monitor reorder levels, and raise stock purchase requisitions as needed.

  2. Prepare forecasts and communicate them to buyers for timely deliveries.

  3. Closely monitor loan inventory systems and ensure timely transactions.

  4. Conduct periodic reviews of par levels for consignment inventory items and send consumption reports to concerned buyers/suppliers.

  5. Rationalize and optimize inventory levels to achieve inventory-related goals.

  6. Send regular alerts about stock status to end-users for review.

  7. Strive for improvement of user satisfaction levels and compliance with CARR.

  8. Review stock out/critical items and follow up with concerned buyers for timely arrangement.

  9. Meet end-users to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues/queries.

  10. Circulate expiry reports to end-users and buyers for assigned categories and follow up for timely utilization/replacement.

  11. Closely monitor dead/slow-moving items and follow up with end-users and buyers for utilization/disposal.

  12. Provide reports and periodically analyze data as required by the department and update item parameters in the system.

  13. Review system/processes for improvement.

Requirements:

  • A graduate degree in a relevant field, preferably with courses on inventory management.

  • At least 1 year of working experience in inventory management.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of building materials and computer software, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel.

  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to critically analyze data.
