About the Role
The Echo Technician will be responsible for performing Echocardiograms, preparing patients, analyzing images, and assisting physicians. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of the heart's chambers, valves, and blood vessels.
- Explain procedures, prepare patients, and ensure their comfort during the exam.
- Review images for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet strict diagnostic standards.
- Provide preliminary findings to cardiologists and assist during stress tests or other diagnostic procedures.
- Clean and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it functions correctly.
- Record patient data, maintain accurate reports, and ensure confidentiality in line with healthcare regulations.
- Follow all protocols to ensure patient and personal safety during procedures.
