Job Overview

The Professional Employers (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking a skilled X-Ray Grade Plate Welder to join their team. As a key member of the shipbuilding and heavy engineering department, this role requires high-quality welding on structural plates and components.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Welding Techniques: Perform GTAW, SMAW, and other welding techniques on thick steel and alloy plates, ensuring welds are defect-free and suitable for X-ray inspection.
  
• Preparation and Inspection: Prepare plate surfaces before welding, conduct thorough post-weld inspections, and perform X-ray tests to verify weld quality.
  
• Safety Protocols: Follow shipyard safety protocols, including confined space and elevated work safety, to maintain a secure work environment.
  
• Maintenance and Recording: Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, ensuring it meets required specifications, and record inspection results and welding details.
  

Qualifications:

• 
  
• Certification and Experience: Diploma or certification in Welding or Metal Fabrication, and 3+ years experience in X-ray grade plate welding.
  
• Skillset: Proficient in multiple welding techniques, X-ray inspection, and quality standards.
  
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in challenging conditions.
  

Estimated Salary:$85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
