Job Title: Financial Data Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Data Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Receivable Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in processing customer payments, monitoring outstanding receivables, and reconciling accounts receivable records.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process and record customer payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables, ensuring timely collections from customers.
  • Follow up on overdue payments, implementing structured escalation processes.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable records with bank statements and ERP data.
  • Assist in managing customer credit limits and payment terms, ensuring financial compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Finance, Sales, and Operations) to resolve invoicing or payment disputes.
  • Generate accounts receivable reports for senior management, tracking cash inflows.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring all receivables are accurately accounted for.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, particularly regarding sales tax and invoicing requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in the ERP system (preferably Odoo).

Requirements:

  • Proficient in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, with a preference for Odoo.
  • Highly autonomous with strong attention to detail & accuracy in managing financial data.
  • Understanding of accounts payable principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in conducting bank account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
  • Extremely high attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Meticulous in data entry and payment processing to avoid errors.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Prioritise responsibilities effectively to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Familiarity with tax regulations.
  • Offer innovative solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy in accounting tasks.
  • Adhere to financial regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
  • SQL and Advanced Excel skills are highly preferred.
