PHP Backend Developer Position

We are seeking an experienced PHP developer to join our team at Devbunch.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing web application logic on backend components and integrating frontend work with applications, connecting third-party web services. This is a core PHP role that involves hard core coding and requires expertise in building efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers
  • Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
  • Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
  • Integration of data storage solutions
  • Strong knowledge of common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and their declarative query languages
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Create effective, flexible, reusable, testable, and scalable PHP code
  • Analysis of application needs and website requirements from teams and clients
  • Build design and layout of apps, websites
  • Define, and maintain databases
  • Code maintenance and enhancement
  • Payment gateway integration with eCommerce portals
  • Set coding standards and connect applications with third-party web services
  • Seamless integration of data storage solutions and user-facing elements
  • Resolve complicated performance issues and architectural problems
  • Write well-designed backend code and create backend portals with PHP modules
  • Go by industry's standard best practices
  • Ensure testing and maintenance for optimized code
  • Prepare accurate documentation for different tools and services
  • Code deployment to live environment
