We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Multimedia Content Delivery Specialist to help design, implement, and maintain high-quality multimedia content delivery systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • System Design and Implementation:
    • Design and architect scalable, reliable, and high-performing multimedia content delivery systems.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
    • Implement and configure multimedia components, including middleware, streaming servers, and set-top boxes.
    • Integrate multimedia systems with other network components, such as content delivery networks (CDNs) and video-on-demand (VOD) platforms.
  • Video Content Management:
    • Manage and ingest video content into the multimedia system, ensuring proper encoding, transcoding, and metadata integration.
    • Develop and implement content delivery workflows, including live streaming and video-on-demand services.
    • Ensure compliance with content rights and DRM (Digital Rights Management) requirements.
  • Network Infrastructure and Integration:
    • Collaborate with network engineers to optimize network infrastructure for multimedia service delivery.
    • Configure and troubleshoot network protocols and components, such as IP multicast, VLANs, QoS, and routing.
    • Integrate multimedia systems with billing, customer relationship management (CRM), and other back-end systems.
  • System Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
    • Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the multimedia system, utilizing monitoring tools and analytics.
    • Proactively identify and resolve system issues, including network connectivity, service interruptions, and video quality problems.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Documentation and Collaboration:
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and customer support, to ensure smooth system operation and user satisfaction.
    • Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external vendors.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in multimedia system design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of multimedia technology, protocols, and standards, including HLS, MPEG-DASH, etc.
  • Proficiency in streaming technologies and protocols, including RTSP, RTMP, and HTTP streaming.
  • Experience with multimedia middleware platforms, such as Minerva, Mediaroom, or Amino.
  • Familiarity with video codecs, transcoding, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure, including IP networking, multicast, VLANs, and QoS.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation using languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
