Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned post to ensure safe and secure environment for visitors, faculty, students and employees within designated area;
  • Assist visitors, faculty, students and employees when called for security assistance;
  • Control traffic and parking for smooth flow and discipline;
  • Control visitor flow by checking identity and adherence to instructions & orders;
  • Check ID cards of staff, faculty and students to control unauthorized movement;
  • Respond to emergency calls from control room, adjoining posts & SIRC;
  • Assist in fire and other emergencies;
  • Report suspicious acts and baggage to control room, SIRC & Manager Admin (IED);
  • Check gate passes to ensure no item goes out without due authority;
  • Report incidents to Security Supervisor and SIRC by fastest possible means;
  • Perform tasks assigned by Security Supervisor, Security Coordinator, Manager Security (OC & OP) & Manager Admin (IED);
  • Carry out duties/tasks at/outside IED premises;
  • Drive departmental vehicles on required basis if holding driving license;
Requirements:

You should have :

  • Experience as trained soldier/combatant in Pakistan Armed Forces, Rangers, Frontier Corps., Frontier Constabulary, Coast Guard or Police at Non-commissioned Officers level or civilian with at least two years security experience;
  • Experience and service with SSG & Intelligence units preferred;
  • Efficiency in handling small arms i.e. Rifles and Pistols;
  • Efficiency in handling communication equipment i.e. Wireless sets & Telephones;
  • Ability to drive preferred;
  • Must be able to read and write Urdu fluently;
  • Physically fit & in good health, Must be Medical Category 'AYE' (Fit in all respects).
