Project Engineer Job Summary:

  • This role is responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and production supervision efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Documentation: Review project technical drawings, Single Line Diagrams SLDs, and costing sheets provided by the Estimation and Sales teams.">
  • Handover Meetings: Conduct detailed handover meetings with the Estimation and Sales teams to ensure clear understanding of project scope and cost structure.">
  • Design Alignment: Collaborate with the Design team to ensure the project design aligns with the approved budget and scope.">
  • Scheduling: Develop and submit the project schedule to the client in line with contractual timelines.">
  • Document Validation: Review and validate design documents; coordinate with the client for approvals, submissions, and any necessary variations.">
  • Clients' Comments: Ensure all client comments and feedback are properly incorporated into the project design by coordinating with the Design team.">
  • Component Verification: Verify that all components issued for procurement align with approved designs and client expectations.">
  • Supply Chain Management: Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to manage alternatives and design changes, ensuring all modifications are approved by the client.">
  • Planning Team Collaboration: Liaise with the Planning team to ensure accurate scheduling and effective project control measures.">
  • Production Support: Work closely with the Production team and external vendors to resolve any production-related issues affecting project delivery.">
  • FAT Coordination: Coordinate with the client for scheduling and conducting Factory Acceptance Tests FAT.">
  • Client Communication: Ensure that all client comments and observations during inspections are addressed and communicated effectively.">
  • Logistics Management: Manage project delivery logistics and ensure timely delivery in accordance with client expectations.">
  • Installation Support: Support the client during installation and commissioning, and address any related issues or after-sales service requirements.">
  • Payment Follow-up: Follow up with clients for payments and ensure timely collection of receivables.">
  • Project Delivery: Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.">
  • Team Leadership: Lead the project team to meet defined milestones and ensure successful execution.">
  • Documentation Maintenance: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and records.

Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.">
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the switchgear industry, with a focus on project planning and execution.">
  • Strong client-facing and internal communication skills.">
  • Excellent organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.">
  • Proficient time management and problem-solving skills.">
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain professionalism under pressure.
