About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team at the Aga Khan University Hospital Clinical Laboratories. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of blood sample collection for laboratory testing.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Verify patient identification and check lab test requisition slips
  • Perform accurate and gentle vein puncture procedures to collect blood samples
  • Label each patient's sample container according to laboratory protocols
  • Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety precautions
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explain phlebotomy procedures, and visit patients' homes when necessary
  • Meet the qualifications below
Qualifications
  • Matriculation, preferably Intermediate
  • A motorcycle for home phlebotomy services
  • At least one year of relevant experience, particularly in venipuncture on adult and pediatric patients
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good command of phlebotomy procedures and knowledge of various collection containers
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work in shift duties
