Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Researcher to join our innovative project on membrane-based cooling technologies. This project involves collaboration with leading industrial and academic partners and focuses on developing next-generation multicomponent membrane solutions for clean, efficient, and durable cooling applications.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and developing polymeric membranes with tailored surface properties. Responsibilities include:

  • Advanced Membrane Fabrication: Developing thin-film composite membranes with functionalized surfaces.
  • Comprehensive Characterization: Utilizing techniques such as SEM, EDS, TGA, BET, contact angle measurements, FT-IR, Raman spectroscopy, and other state-of-the-art methods.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conducting lab-scale tests to establish critical relationships between fabrication methods, membrane structure, and performance.
  • Research Dissemination: Writing reports, authoring peer-reviewed publications, drafting patents, and presenting findings at leading conferences.

The role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising scientists, engineers, graduate researchers, and undergraduates.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered, applicants must have:

  • A PhD in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in membrane fabrication, particularly thin-film composite membranes and surface functionalization.
  • Strong expertise in membrane characterization techniques and understanding of structure-property relationships.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based research environment.
