Job Description

The Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products.

This position requires a strong focus on testing, debugging, and corrective actions to ensure that software meets client needs while being cost-effective.

Main Responsibilities
  • Review system requirements and technical design documents for timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Create comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure thorough testing.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities to meet project deadlines.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools to improve testing efficiency.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved to maintain software stability.
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
  • Liaise with internal teams, such as developers and product managers, to identify system requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
Requirements
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance, minimum 2 years.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
  • Solid knowledge of MongoDB and scripting.
  • Solid knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.

The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. They should also be able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
