Job Overview:

Information Security Specialist

Our organization seeks a skilled Information Security Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing information security policies and procedures, conducting regular risk assessments and vulnerability assessments, and monitoring and responding to security incidents and breaches.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive information security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security threats.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches in a timely and effective manner.
  • Manage and maintain up-to-date security tools and technologies to ensure the highest level of security.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Educate employees on security best practices and awareness through training and workshops.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity threats and trends to stay ahead of emerging threats.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in information security or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM).
  • Ability to perform risk assessments and vulnerability assessments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Security certifications are highly desirable.
