Health and Safety Manager

Job Summary:

This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures within an organization. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of health, safety, and welfare legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety matters.
  • Investigate and document accidents, implementing recommended improvements.
  • Manage the Health & Safety Committee and ensure action points are completed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and welfare legislation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
