A prestigious academic center seeks a highly skilled professional to lead its Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. As a consultant, you will play a crucial role in advancing diagnostics, creating new companion diagnostics, and mentoring students and residents.

About the Role

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing expertise in diagnostics, focusing on pathology and companion diagnostics for conditions like hematology, stem cell transplantation, solid tumor malignancies, and prenatal postnatal diseases.
  • Teaching and mentoring students and residents to ensure excellence in medical education.
  • Participating in sectional, departmental, institutional, national, and international meetings, conferences, and workshops to stay updated on the latest developments.
  • Contributing to administrative duties and participating in department administrative committees as assigned.
  • Engaging in innovative research activities to advance pathology and contribute to the growth of the field.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • An MBBS degree with FCPS/FRCPath/American Board certified or equivalent certification in clinical cytogenetics and Molecular genetics/Pathology.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Senior Instructor or equivalent.
  • The ability to share expertise, adapt to new ideas, and build relationships within the team and with other work units.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and provide performance feedback and support staff development.
