Job Title: Executive Hotel Director

A seasoned hospitality leader is required to oversee hotel operations, providing strategic planning and leadership to all departments.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing luxury hotels, with extensive experience in staff management and guest relations. They will be responsible for balancing profitability with guest satisfaction measures, ensuring compliance with hotel operating controls and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee hotel operations, including day-to-day staff management and guest relations.
  2. Hold regular briefings and meetings with heads of departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  3. Ensure full compliance with hotel operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards.
  4. Lead key property issues, including capital projects, customer service, and refurbishment.
  5. Handle complaints and oversee service recovery procedures.
  6. Prepare and achieve the hotel's annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan, and Capital Budget.
  7. Manage ongoing profitability, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
  8. Make decisions in the best interest of the hotel and management, ensuring all actions align with the hotel's goals and objectives.
  9. Deliver hotel budget goals and set short and long-term strategic goals for the property.
  10. Closely monitor business reports daily and make informed decisions accordingly.
  11. Maximize room yield and hotel/resort revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
Requirements:
  • At least 15 to 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with significant luxury and international experience.
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
  • Excellent computer system skills and a strong understanding of P&L statements.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively, with a focus on career progression and development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to react quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
