Math Curriculum Development Specialist

The Math Curriculum Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in planning, designing and developing engaging Social Studies curriculum, resources and teaching support materials for students.

  • Lead a team of specialists in designing and developing curricula for Social Studies, including leading research, providing structures, support and feedback to team members, and planning for their growth,
  • Provide constructive feedback on content design and development to writers and graphic designers,
  • Utilize a curriculum framework as a guiding document for all design and development, making alterations based on research if necessary,
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments of Social Studies instruction to evaluate the current syllabus, including classroom observations, focus group sessions with students and teachers, and seeking feedback from experienced educators as external evaluators,
  • Develop high-quality, engaging, student-centric KG-VIII resources for Social Studies instruction based on local best practices,
  • Collaborate closely with graphic designers to determine an overarching theme for the books, including design layout, scenarios-based illustrations, narratives, and stories,
  • Design and develop e-learning content to improve teacher content knowledge,
  • Research innovative instructional delivery modes and pedagogical practices to enhance learning outcomes,
  • Lead the development of lesson plans for teachers based on effective best practices,
  • Maintain strong connections with intended users: students and teachers,
  • Test sample lessons in real-time with students and use feedback for improvement before rollout to schools,
  • Collaborate on other projects within and outside the department on curriculum development, syllabi, student learning outcomes, testing, and similar activities.

The role involves reviewing content, developing content, and personnel management. The Math Curriculum Development Specialist is also responsible for other projects related to academics and school policy.
