About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in Nuclear Medicine, performing research MRI/molecular imaging studies and working with cutting-edge technology.
Main Responsibilities- Preparing radiopharmaceuticals according to aseptic technique guidelines, ensuring quality control through calibration, chemical and radionuclide purity checks.
- Determining appropriate radiopharmaceuticals based on established guidelines, calculating patient dosage, and explaining procedures to subjects.
- Administering radiopharmaceuticals and conducting tests including brain, cardiac, and total body studies.
- Labelling patient images according to HIPAA and ACR requirements, archiving data to PACS for long-term storage, and retrieving studies for review and comparison.
- Observing radiation safety protocols, ensuring correct protocol, radiation dose, and contrast are administered for MRI scans, and following institutional and departmental guidelines for patient safety and care.
The successful candidate will need to have a Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist (Nuclear Medicine) license, ARRT or NMTCB certification, and a High school diploma; Bachelor's degree in NM Technology or related field preferred.
