We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled software engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology products.

You will be part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you will be responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of our business objectives.

As a software engineer at our company, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Executing creative software solutions, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Developing secure high-quality production code, and reviewing and debugging code written by others
  • Identifying opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Collaborating with internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Participating in communities of practice across software engineering to stay aware and utilize new and leading-edge technologies
  • Contributing to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced knowledge in one or more programming language(s), including Java, Springboot, Rest API's, Microservices, and UI frameworks like React
  • Ability to design, develop, and troubleshoot Microservices, GOS / Mongo / Aurora DB, and React single page applications
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods, testing
  • Proficient in all aspects of the software development life cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
  • Proficient in Spring boot and Spring cloud
  • Ability to coach team members on design and best practices

Beyond these qualifications, we welcome candidates who have experience in:

  • AWS services like ECS, S3, ALB, NLB, Dynamo, Aurora
  • Terraform, Kafka
  • Monitoring and alerting tools like Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, CloudWatch
