We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join our faculty in Mining and Mineral Resources Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students, as well as conducting research and contributing to the development of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Mining and Mineral Resources Engineering
  • Mentor students in research projects and academic pursuits
  • Conduct research in Mining and Mineral Resources Engineering, with potential for external funding
  • Develop and implement curriculum in Mining and Mineral Resources Engineering

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Mining Engineering from an accredited university, with a strong publication record and relevant industry experience. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external stakeholders.

Requirements
  • PhD in Mining Engineering from an accredited university
  • Publications and experience as per HEC criteria for faculty appointments
Terms and Conditions

  • Last degree must be attested/verified by HEC
  • Ineligibility reasons include:
    - 3rd Division in academic record or weak academic profile
    - NUST employees with less than one year of service or without NOC
    - Candidate in the process of obtaining required degree
    - Medical unfitness
