Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to budget preparation processes and collaborate with various departments to monitor and record any subsequent revisions throughout the year.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with revenue and expense budget policies and prepare drafts for improvements in policies and systems regarding expense guidelines, cost savings, cost allocation, and annual planning.
  • Maintain liaison with departments to ensure financial continuity, accuracy, and adherence to key processes for operational cost and revenue budgeting, accounting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Support the implementation of new initiatives to streamline budget/actual/variance reports and their distribution, enhancing timeliness, efficiency, effectiveness, and usefulness of reports and analyses.
  • Set up revenue, expense, and capital project accounts in the computerized financial system as advised by your immediate supervisor.
  • Collect and organize proposed budget submissions from department managers and assist in checking for accuracy and completeness.
  • ID errors and omissions, coordinate with departments to obtain clarifications or adjustments, or as advised by your immediate supervisor.
  • Assist in consolidating budgets for the organization and ensure consistency in planned cash inflows and outflows, as well as planning for overall financial goals.
  • Extract reports to compare actual to budgeted results at the end of each reporting period and highlight significant variances.
  • Prepare detailed variance analysis reports of actuals against annual budget plans for cost, sales, collection targets, and GLs.
  • Prepare drafts for presenting and explaining budgetary and financial analyses and draft recommendations to departments and senior management regarding any budgetary gaps or funding requirements.
