Freight Sales and Logistics Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Sales and Dispatch Agent in the U.S. trucking industry. As a key player in our organization, you will play a dual role, combining customer acquisition and relationship management (sales) with logistics coordination and carrier management (dispatch).
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, knowledge of U.S. trucking regulations and lanes, multitasking and problem-solving abilities under pressure, familiarity with TMS (Transportation Management Systems), load boards (e.g., DAT, Truckstop), and the ability to build trust with drivers and clients.
In this role, you will be responsible for lead generation and prospecting, client relationship management, rate negotiation, market analysis, and documentation. You will also handle load planning and assignment, carrier and driver coordination, problem resolution, compliance and documentation, and tracking and reporting.
Sales Responsibilities- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify potential clients needing freight services, cold call, email, and network to build a client base.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with shippers and brokers, follow up regularly to secure repeat business.
- Rate Negotiation: Negotiate freight rates with customers for profitable loads, prepare rate confirmations, and ensure agreement on terms.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on freight market trends, lane rates, and competition, adjust sales strategies based on market conditions.
- Documentation: Prepare quotes, contracts, and sales-related documents, keep CRM or sales database updated.
- Load Planning and Assignment: Find and book loads for company-owned or contracted trucks, assign loads based on driver availability and lane preferences.
- Carrier and Driver Coordination: Communicate load details to drivers, monitor load progress, and provide support en route.
- Problem Resolution: Handle delays, breakdowns, and customer complaints efficiently, reassign loads when issues arise.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all loads are dispatched with proper paperwork, monitor HOS (Hours of Service) compliance and FMCSA regulations.
- Tracking and Reporting: Use ELD or tracking systems to monitor shipments, update brokers/shippers with load statuses.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
