The role of a Pharmacist is to ensure the safe and effective use of medicinal products and devices.
Key Responsibilities:- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain Pharmacy Store inventories, including MDR-TB, Hepatitis, and other related programs. Provide daily reports on supplies, issued, and remaining stock quantities to management.
- New Item Setup: Manage new item setups in the system upon approval from management.
- Purchase Requisitions: Prepare and forward purchase requisitions for approval as required. Coordinate with the Purchase department for the arrangement of all supplies, including Hepatitis and TB drugs. Ensure all relevant documentation is maintained for billing purposes.
- Good Receipt and Issue: Ensure all protocols are followed to receive and issue goods, maintain accurate documentation, update systems, and provide relevant reports to management.
- Temperature Monitoring: Monitor temperatures and accurately maintain related documentation.
- Non-Formulary Items: Forward requisitions of non-formulary or unavailable items to be arranged for inpatients. Upon receipt, issue to pharmacy or demanded departments immediately.
- KPI Reports: Provide regular updates and monthly KPI reports to management.
- CME Presentations: Prepare and present on various topics for Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions.
- Team Leadership: Delegate and monitor tasks assigned to interns, technicians, and assistants. Provide guidance for best practices.
- Monthly Stock Reports: Provide monthly reports to management detailing fast-moving, slow-moving, short-expiry, expired, broken, and damaged items.
