Mobile App Product Manager

The primary objective of this role is to devise and implement strategies for the development, launch, and ongoing management of mobile apps. This involves forward-thinking planning, thorough market analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning
    • Create a comprehensive roadmap for mobile app development that aligns with business objectives.
    • Carry out thorough market research to identify customer needs and competitor activity.
  • Requirements Definition
    • Develop clear and concise requirements documents for mobile app releases.
    • Promote these documents among stakeholders across the organization.
  • Product Development Support
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely and successful mobile app delivery.
    • Support sales efforts by providing expertise and knowledge about mobile apps.
  • Operational Support
    • Oversee user documentation, training, and support processes for mobile apps.
    • Partner with stakeholders to determine program goals and requirements.
  • Risk Management and Issue Resolution
    • Identify and mitigate risks that affect scope, quality, and schedule for mobile app development.
    • Resolve issues that impact mobile app delivery and overall performance.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
    • Direct analyst and QA activities to deliver high-quality mobile apps.
  • Industry Knowledge and Insights
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies related to mobile apps.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for product roadmap development.
    Key Requirements:
    • At least 5 years' experience leading teams in delivering successful software products, particularly mobile apps.
    • Strong understanding of native mobile application development for iOS and Android.
    • Technical delivery experience in an agile environment.
    • Effective communication skills and ability to work with various groups.
    • Able to understand technical concepts and evaluate tradeoffs.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/MIS expected.
