Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tax Consultant to join our team in Lahore, Pakistan. As a Tax Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and guidance to clients, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interact proactively with clients to address their inquiries, concerns, and issues related to taxation.
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of their financial situations and provide tailored tax solutions.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Recommend additional financial products and services that align with clients' needs, maximizing their benefits.
  • Advise clients regarding relevant laws related to VAT, CT, AML, ESR, UBO, etc., ensuring they remain compliant.
  • Stay current with tax laws and regulations, providing clients with up-to-date guidance and advice to minimize the risk of penalties.
  • Assist clients in understanding and meeting tax and compliance requirements, minimizing the risk of fines and penalties.
  • Calculate taxes owed by meticulously following tax codes and regulations, ensuring accuracy.
  • Prepare a wide range of tax returns, from simple to complex, for both individuals and small businesses, ensuring timely submission.
  • Strategically help clients leverage federal, state, and local tax codes to maximize their eligible benefits, reducing tax liabilities.
  • Identify potential deductions, tax credits, and advise clients on minimizing tax liabilities, optimizing their financial position.
  • Oversee the registration requirements and thresholds for VAT and CT, ensuring compliance.
  • Verify the accuracy of past tax returns and ensure records are reconciled at all times, maintaining data integrity.
  • Refer to tax law handbooks for complex tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiently manage bookkeeping tasks, including Payables and Receivables Management, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Oversee the maintenance of Petty Cash and coordinate with banks for daily deposits, ensuring efficient cash flow management.
  • Maintain meticulous records of client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review and analyze financial records, including income statements and expenditure documentation, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Regularly update financial trackers and databases to reflect the most current information, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Ensure that tracking systems are accurate, well-organized, and accessible for reference and analysis, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Utilize electronic filing software to accurately prepare and file tax returns, streamlining the process.
  • Ensure clients receive a copy of their completed tax return for their records, maintaining transparency.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly summary reports to present to the management, providing insights into financial performance.
