We are seeking an experienced paralegal to support our growing legal team. The ideal candidate for this position will utilize their work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file motions, interview clients, and conduct legal research.

This is a hybrid position with three days in office and two days working from home.

Responsibilities

  • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence, including subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, and legal briefs
  • Support trial preparation by organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and conducting legal research
  • Manage law office activities such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
  • Perform administrative duties, including answering phone calls and maintaining an organized case filing system
  • Conduct client interviews to gather information about legal matters
  • Assist attorneys with files
  • Communicate with clients on a consistent basis regarding updates and changes to their case
  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer
  • Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Family Law Paralegal in the state of Texas (non-negotiable)
  • Ideal candidates should hold a Paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education (preferred)
  • Applicants must be able to provide proof of possessing a valid Texas Driver's License and maintaining automobile insurance
  • Candidates must possess strong communication skills, along with a positive attitude, and proficiency in MS Office applications and email
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills are crucial for success in this role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in writing and grammar, are fundamental requirements for this role

Benefits:

$25 - $30 hourly
