Procurement Manager Job Description

The ideal candidate will be a master's degree holder in Business Administration or Supply Chain with relevant industry experience.

They will be responsible for managing and regularly updating the procurement system according to the company's needs, including liaising with the Head of Supply Chain to update Vendor Selection Criteria.

Key tasks include monitoring the receipt of Purchase Orders (POs), assigning tasks to team members, calculating lead times on each PO after negotiations with vendors/suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.

They will also be responsible for planning imports, coordinating with suppliers, indenters, and clearing agents, and negotiating freight rates and services.

In addition, they will need to supervise coordination with stores regarding stock levels, conduct technical selection interviews for staff needed to be hired in their department, and review shipping documents and other certificates.

Overall, this role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational and communication skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
