Supply Chain Acquisition Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Team Lead to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain and relevant industry experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Procurement System, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and liaising with the Head of Supply Chain to update Vendor Selection Criteria. Key responsibilities include monitoring Receipt of Purchase Orders (POs), assigning tasks to team members, calculating lead times after negotiations with vendors/suppliers, and adhering to the procurement cycle.
A critical aspect of this role involves planning imports, considering material requirements, freight delivery timelines, and vendor suitability. Regular inventory checks of imported parts facilitate timely order placement.
Frequent follow-ups with concerned parties, import updates, and sharing information with the Head of Supply Chain are essential. Reviewing shipping documents and certificates ensures compliance with regulations.
Effective negotiation with suppliers, indenters, and clearing agents yields the best freight rates and services. Coordination with stores regarding stock levels ensures optimal re-ordering.
Quarterly meetings focus on setting, reviewing, and revising performance standards and Key Result Areas (KRAs) for direct reportees, while regular performance monitoring sessions assess progress.
Selecting suitable staff through technical interviews completes the recruitment process.
