Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations for our expanding retail stores and gas stations across the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Operations Management: Oversee all accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
  2. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across multiple locations to ensure accurate financial data and informed business decisions.
  4. Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with legal requirements such as tax, fuel reporting, and environmental regulations to minimize risks and maintain a good reputation.
  5. Internal Control Implementation: Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures to safeguard assets and protect against financial losses.
  6. Closing Processes: Lead month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  7. Inventory Management: Collaborate with store and station managers to optimize inventory management and control costs to improve profitability.
  8. Audit Coordination: Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  9. Financial System Implementation: Implement financial systems and tools to enhance automation and reporting to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  10. Financial Insights and Recommendations: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support growth and profitability by analyzing financial data and identifying trends.
