The Position:
The division is looking for a Senior Java developer to work as part of its team to be responsible for system integrations between our internal products and third-party applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with external partners, product teams, and stakeholders to define integration requirements, develop scalable solutions, and ensure seamless data exchange across platforms.
The chosen individual will work out of the Contour Software Lahore resource center office as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Timing: 7 AM – 4 PM PST (7 PM – 4 AM Pak time)

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 6+ years of experience with Java with a strong focus on system integrations.

• 6+ years of experience developing and maintaining web applications.

• 6+ years of experience with developing and maintaining RESTful APIs, SOAP, and Microservices architecture, Relational databases, JSON, XML, XSD, and XSL, Git.

• 6+ years of experience with testing web applications and enterprise software through manual and automated techniques/unit test frameworks.

• 2+ years of experience with cloud technologies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Engage with third-party vendors and internal teams to define integration requirements.

• Lead technical discussions to determine integration strategies and ensure compatibility between systems.

• Act as the primary point of contact for integration-related queries from external and internal stakeholders.

• Work with stakeholders to ensure that third-party integrations adhere to security guidelines and compliance requirements.

• Document API specifications, integration workflows, and data mapping details for clarity and alignment.

• Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of integration solutions.

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing, open communication, and continuous learning among team members.

• Resolving technical challenges and addressing issues that arise during the development process, leveraging their expertise to find effective solutions and keep projects on track.

• Work closely with other team members, including product owners, designers, and other developers, to translate project requirements into technical solutions.

• Offer guidance and support to team members, helping them navigate technical challenges, understand complex concepts, and improve their skills.

• Participate in agile planning and stand-up meetings as necessary.

• Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to design software using industry standard technologies.

• Strong problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting integration challenges.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, ActiveMQ, Amazon SQS etc.) and event-driven architecture.

• Strong understanding of industry security best practices, including encryption, authentication, and authorization to ensure secure data transmission and access control.

• Strong concepts of core Java, OOP, data structures & algorithms.

• Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.

• Must be adaptable and willing to continuously learn and stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

• Good in working across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with stakeholders, and conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Experience in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including knowledge of cloud-native architectures and services

• Familiarity with building and deploying microservices-based applications.

• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile development methodologies (Scrum & Kanban)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
