Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Engineer in the Solar Sector, based in Lahore. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical systems, overseeing power distribution projects, and conducting technical assessments of renewable energy systems. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing engineering plans, monitoring project implementations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success. The role requires working closely with teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and supporting the organization's mission to deliver sustainable energy solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum
    2–4 years of experience
    in solar PV system design, installation, or O&M
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and site supervision skills.
  • Good communication and team coordination skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solar PV systems with accurate load calculations and shading analysis.
  • Prepare engineering drawings such as SLDs, wiring layouts, cable schedules, and protection schemes.
  • Conduct site surveys to evaluate technical feasibility and system sizing.
  • Select appropriate system components including solar panels, inverters, cables, breakers, SPD, and earthing systems.
  • Prepare BOQs, technical proposals, and project documentation.
  • Supervise installation teams to ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with procurement, project managers, clients, and suppliers for smooth project execution.
  • Maintain documentation such as as-built drawings, inspection reports, and commissioning records.
