Position Summary:

The Fleet Management Officer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to company vehicles, including maintenance, fuel management, documentation, and driver supervision. The role ensures the efficient and cost-effective utilization of the fleet in compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of company vehicles, ensuring availability and proper utilization.
  • Plan and schedule regular maintenance, servicing, and repair of vehicles.
  • Monitor vehicle logbooks, mileage records, and fuel consumption reports.
  • Coordinate with workshops and vendors for timely repair and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company requirements (insurance, road taxes, fitness certificates, etc.).
  • Maintain and update fleet documentation, including registration, insurance, and maintenance history.
  • Supervise drivers, ensuring discipline, proper conduct, and adherence to driving SOPs.
  • Analyze fleet performance and prepare periodic reports on operational costs and efficiency.
  • Implement safety and preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime and accidents.
  • Support in budgeting, cost control, and fleet expansion planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in fleet or transport management.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fuel management, and transport regulations.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and record management.
