𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲:

At Zara Shahjahan, we are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Sketcher to join our design team. This role involves hand-drawing sketches and garment layouts (khakas) while contributing research-based insights and product knowledge to support the creative process.

Key Responsibilities:

Create manual sketches/khakas with detailed representation of cuts, embroidery, and embellishments.

Conduct research on fashion trends, fabrics, and traditional techniques to inspire and guide design concepts.

Work closely with designers to translate ideas into accurate sketches ready for sampling and production.

Provide strong product knowledge input on garment construction, fabrics, and finishing details.

Maintain an organized sketch archive for reference and future use.

Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure alignment between sketches and final output.

Meet project deadlines while maintaining brand quality standards.

Requirements:

2–3 years of experience as a Sketcher/Khaka Maker in the fashion/textile industry.

Strong portfolio showing manual sketching accuracy, creativity, and detailing.

Solid research background with the ability to analyze trends, fabrics, and product details.

Good understanding of garment structure, textile surfaces, and fashion aesthetics.

Educational background in Fashion Design/Textile Design (Fashion Graduation preferred).

Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to balance creativity and technical accuracy.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.
