Sr. MERN Stack Developer

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable and high-performance web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, , , ).
• Design, build, and optimize APIs using RESTful principles and
  GraphQL
  .
• Work with relational databases like
  PostgreSQL
  and
  MySQL
  alongside MongoDB for data storage and management.
• Lead the design and implementation of new features and improvements across multiple projects.
• Architect backend services and database schemas for scalability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver robust solutions.
• Take ownership of MERN stack projects end-to-end — from development through deployment and maintenance.
• Actively participate in client and stakeholder interviews, technical discussions, and presentations to understand requirements, propose solutions, and help secure new projects.
• Conduct technical interviews and assess candidates for MERN stack roles.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting best practices in coding and software design.
• Utilize containerization and cloud platforms (Docker, AWS, Azure) for deployment and scalability.
• Implement and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Work with Kubernetes for orchestration and management of containerized applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications to improve performance and reliability.
• Communicate effectively in English (both verbal and written) to engage with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

Job Requirements / Experience / Knowledge:

• 4 to 6 years of professional experience in full-stack web development with a strong focus on the MERN stack.
• Strong hands-on experience with
  PostgreSQL
  and
  MySQL
  database design, querying, and optimization.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs using
  GraphQL
  in addition to REST.
• Proven ability to participate in client or stakeholder meetings and interviews to pitch technical solutions and win projects.
• Proficient in MongoDB, , , and with a deep understanding of JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular and (nice to have).
• Solid experience in containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms AWS and Azure.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI) for automating build, test, and deployment pipelines.
• Exposure to DevOps practices including infrastructure as code and automated testing.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and serverless architecture.
• Experience in conducting technical interviews and evaluating developer candidates.
• Must have excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) to interact confidently with clients, stakeholders, and global teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Preference:

• Prior experience in leading full MERN stack projects from inception to delivery.
• Certifications in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or DevOps are a plus.
• Experience with testing frameworks and automated testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with other cloud-native tools and services.
