The Division:
GNT Systems is headquartered in Kirchheim bei München, Germany, develops and deploys a variety of software solutions (Manufacturing Execution Software [MES], Tool Management Software [TMS], and Computer Aided Manufacturing/Design Software [CAD/CAM]) to manufacturing customers across several industries. With 30 years of experience +1000 maintenance customers, +2000 users and +20,000 connected machines, GNT is one of the most comprehensive providers for the digitalization of production. 

The Position: 

We are looking for a results-oriented, self-motivated SDET with a passion for delivering high quality software and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.  

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing tests for windows & web-based applications, developing test scripts, and running automated test suites to ensure software quality and reliability. This role demands a detail-oriented professional who can identify issues early, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes. 

The selected individual will preferrable work in the Contour Software Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the onshore R&D team. 

Qualifications & Skills:

• University degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent experience 

• 2-5 years of experience in testing and automating WinForm based windows and web-based applications. 

• Good hands-on experience with manual testing, by applying various testing techniques including functional, regression, integration, UI etc. 

• Good experience in working with Playwright for web-based applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, with the ability to translate manual test scenarios into robust automation scripts 

• Handson with TestComplete or WinAppDriver for WinForm-based applications automation. 

• Experience with bug tracking tools/applications e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOPS 

• Experience with Test Management Tool such as TestRail, or TestLink. 

• Knowledge and skills of building and maintaining CI/CD environment is a plus. 

• Knowledge of version control systems, such as SVN or Git. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions. 

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. 

• Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, Agile/Scrum environment. 

• Ability to work independently is flexible, self-motivated and a team player. 

• Able to analyze, interpret, and communicate findings from tests. 

• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track results and known defects.
